Hugo Magalhães, Founder of Helppier

Who are you?

Hugo Magalhães, founder and CEO of Helppier.

Can you tell us the story of your business from idea to where you are now?

I came up with creating Helppier when I was working as a software developer creating documentation and recognized the need of developing a solution that could simplify this area in many aspects both in terms of production and training.

What has been your biggest failure or struggle?

Tried in the past to create several different software products as side projects, none of which made it.

And what has been your biggest achievement or success?

We are currently working with one of the biggest telecommunications companies in Portugal, this is the result of the past two years: we duplicate our team and revolutionize our product. We integrated the Carnegie Mellon University program in US and we were chosen to be at Web Summit 2016. Our team has been working hard to bring the software to a higher level, and it’s finally ready, our new version is out. Many changes were made but the main focus was in terms of design and more importantly, with international team members coming and going, we recognized the importance of having a Multi-Language tool. With the new version you are able to choose any language you want and fit your user-guides to your market’s needs.
