Floris van Vredendaal, CEO of Affiliated.io

Who are you?

My name is Floris van Vredendaal and I’m an entrepeneur/SEM specialist/affiliate marketeer. In this particular order I try to build a solid (and as passive as possible) income. I like to focus on search traffic, because the timing is always right: people are looking for your product/website. That group of people are visitors who convert.

Can you tell us the story of your business from idea to where you are now?

It started in 2016 where I wanted to know how much money I made through affiliate marketing. Of course I could check my bank account but that was not telling me the whole story. I did not know how my websites we’re actually doing, how many leads where open/approved/disapproved. Making the spreadsheet took me a lot of time, struggle and sweat. This has to change, I thought. So I decided to build Affiliated.io, with an amazing developer.

What has been your biggest failure or struggle?

Getting there. I invested over 18K in a developer that did not do his job properly. It was such a struggle, you cannot imagine. My advice is to gather a real solid team of dedicated people around you. Otherwise you might as well quit, or lose a lot of money.

And what has been your biggest achievement or success?

This is still to come.

What’s your must read business book?

I don’t read books. I like to do things on my own and find out how I can make it work for me.

Who’s your most inspirational CEO or founder?

Elon Musk.

And can you tell us something weird or interesting about yourself?

I can go nuts when someone calls me at a time when I’m doing something like watching a serie or working in my backend of AffiliateFeeds.com. Much like the scene of Mad Max in The Wolf of Wallstreet: Depending on who it is, I answer normally, or like an alias, depending on who’s calling.

I also love to use quotes from gangster movies in my daily life.

Another thing is that people might find wierd about me is that I do a wierd/random dance (I can’t dance) when I get a nice link from a website.
