Elad Lev, Founder of Weshare
Who are you?
Hi :) I’m Elad Lev, founder of Weshare, a search engine for tutorials and courses and a UI/UX design blog.
Can you tell us the story of your business from idea to where you are now?
It all started a few years ago, when I became a UI/UX designer and developer. While learning online, it took hours upon hours for me to just research good tutorials or courses. When I’ve found one, I bookmarked it. Eventually, I found out that many of my favorite resources were very hard to find. Also, I always wanted to make my own collection of resources so I’d be able to share it with friends. Therefore, I opened Weshare.net and now thousands of users enjoy it everyday :)
What has been your biggest failure or struggle?
The biggest challenge for me is to iterate the product on a daily basis, to identify the needs of our audiences and make sure our products fits those needs perfectly. Most of our time is spend around identifying and filling our users needs.
And what has been your biggest achievement or success?
Our growth has been our biggest achievement so far. Without spending marketing money we’ve managed to attract 6,000 monthly users. Also, our search engine has grown from 1000 resources to 8000 resources in the past 5 months.
What’s your must read business book?
“Hooked” by Nir Eyal
Who’s your most inspirational CEO or founder?
I think I would go with the obvious, but I’d go with the most influential entrepreneur of our time – Steve Jobs
And can you tell us something weird or interesting about yourself?
I’m actually a 13 years musician who plays the drums, piano and sing. I also played in an orchestra for 9 years as a percussionist (drums and all the rest).
